The AAC is not the world’s easiest thing to define. It’s a group of people with a common interest: the English language. Other than that, it’s all about diversity and learning about other cultures.

People at the Stammtisch are typically Austrian students, expatriates working in Graz, foreign students here for a semester or longer, and of course their friends. (It’s best to visit the Stammtisch three or four times in order to really getting to know people, as the group is always different… just one visit is often not enough to get an idea of what it’s all about). Stay in touch via our mailing list, Twitter @Anglo_Austrian, or even better Facebook:

Ladies and gentlemen of the class of '98: Go Stammtisch!
If I could offer you only one tip for the future, Stammtisch would be it. The long-term benefits of Stammtisch have been proved by scientists whereas the rest of my advice has no basis more reliable than my own meandering experience.

So, cool off at Die Herzl tonight from 7 onwards for some German practice or join us after 8 for a refreshing drink or three with the usual English crowd!

Get 'em while they're hot!

Hey German-lovers/learners in #Graz, before I put this up for general grabs, would anyone like a stack of "Deutsch Perfekt" magazines?

What a lovely Feiertag we’re having right now. Hope you all got to enjoy this day sufficiently.
But the day isn’t over yet.

Head over to Die Herzl at 7pm if you want to practise some Deitsch (more commonly known as German) or join us at 8pm, when we make the switch to English. If you can't find us just ask the staff to point you in the right direction.

About to start over at die Herzl, it's our weekly Stammtisch! As usual we'll be blabbering away in English from 8pm. If you want to practise some German, pop down early and there's usually a few folk there already to do just that!
